MAINE LOBSTER FESTIVAL:
For this annual celebration of food and the sea that draws 100,000 revelers and serves 12 tons of fresh Maine lobster each August, we book and coordinate 160+ performers on 4 stages over 5 days. We also handle all publicity and advertising, help with the carnival, and advise the volunteer directors on organizational issues and media relations. This involvement started in 1985.
KELMSCOTT RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL:
Kelmscott Farm in Lincolnville, Maine is dedicated to the preservation of rare breeds of farm animals. It is a spectacular site on rolling hills just a few miles from the ocean. In 1997, the 2 year-old organization approached us to do a special event that would highlight the Foundation's unique mission. We produced two Renaissance Festivals, featuring Knights on horseback jousting, a cast of authentically costumed actors performing a custom script, and period vendors.
A group in Camden asked us to help out with a community-wide celebration to kick of the year-long millennium event. We booked 35 performers in 7 venues, and coordinated the volunteers, venues, and promotion. (Read more at VillageSoup.com)

The CEO of this international bio-tech company based in southern Maine asked First Lady Mary Herman who could produce an event to celebrate 15 years of against-all-odds success with employees, clients, and VIP guests. For the world-famous outfitter's 80th Anniversary celebration, we booked approximately 30 of New England's top performers on two stages over two days, and advised on presentation and
MAINE LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM:
A world-class collection of lighthouse memorabilia needed a new home. A group of visionary leaders from the Midcoast, including Phil Conkling of the Island Institute, Photographer Peter Ralston, artist Jamie Wyeth, my old college bud Charles Chiarchiaro of the Owl's Head Transportation Museum, Chris Crosman of the Farnsworth Art Museum, Steve Liberty of the Trade Winds, and Bob Hastings of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Last summer MLM wanted to have a major event to kick off a capital campaign. We brought in the only tall ship flying the US flag, the USCG Eagle for the occasion, and threw an unforgettable party.
We do many major events for this company, which has been widely acclaimed as one of the very best to work for in terms of how they treat their people. When they throw a bash for their employees, families, and the local community, it's one for the books! Featuring what were undoubtedly the biggest tents ever erected in Maine, we organized a full-scale carnival, Chubby Checker, Sha Na Na, Face Painters, Costumed Characters, strolling entertainment, and much more.
PRIVATE JULY 4th PARTY:
We handle booking and producing a major artist, plus a 40' x 40' outdoor stage construction on a steep grade, plus security, lodging for more than 50 people. Artists we've had over the past several years include Harry Belafonte, America, Clint Black, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Travis, and Reba McEntire.
The cable TV shopping brought their road show to Maine twice. They called upon us to line up and coordinate performers to entertain the live audience between air segments, and provide music to drop in between product showcases.
